Wild Magic

I recently read a book called Wild Magic. It is written by Tamora Pierce and is the first book in a series called The Immortals. I really enjoyed this first book and I can't wait to get my hands on the next one.

Wild Magic is about a young girl named Daine. She has a special ability with animals. She can talk to them and they understand her. What is more, they can talk back to her. The story is about how Daine discovers more about her ability and how it is more than just a talent, but a special kind of magic.

I really liked all the characters in the story. Daine is a wonderful heroine and you can't help but like her. The story is very unique. I would recommend it to any one who likes fantasy and even if you don't, it is a very good read!

Today I want to thank those heros who lost their lives on this day seven years ago. They were some of the greatest people and there names will go down in history. Thank you! To those who lost family or friends on this day, I am sorry for you, but know that those who died are loved.

Ignorance is ... blis?

Many people say that ignorance is blis. But is it really? I don't think so. I feel really stupid when I don't know something. Of course, there are the few occassions were I wish I had never learned something, but that is hardly ever. I love learning and seeing new things. It keeps my life from being, as it said in Tuck Everlasting, a rock stuck on the side of a river watching everything go by. I want to ride the river. I want to be a wave, taking in evverything I can. Knowledge and learning are the best escapes from boredom. So, is ignorance really blis?
